Providing Audio at the World’s Premier AV Trade Show

Trade Shows No Comments »

Every year at the InfoComm Trade Show, the InfoComm Academy holds general knowledge courses for people who are new to the AV industry, need to fill in the gaps of their technical understanding or just curious about the basics. With over 120 sessions going on in 20+ breakout rooms, sound and voice projection you can imagine are very important. Well this year, the wonderful people over at InfoComm asked us if we could provide some our portable sound systems to go in most of the education rooms spread throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center. Of course we said yes…what a great opportunity not only from a marketing standpoint, but also to help support AV education.

Well, we are happy to announce that the AV education courses were a big hit. Tony Murphy the Managing Director from AV Com, Ireland was very impressed with the sound quality in the rooms that had Anchor sound systems, “I dropped by your booth at InfoComm on Thursday to say that I found the PA systems in all the courses I attended to be of bad quality with the exception of the one course I attended where there was an Anchor unit in the room. I’m delighted to report to you that your system was of the highest quality at one of the world’s premier AV industry events.” Thanks Tony for the positive feedback and next year we’ll try to get the InfoComm Academy to use our systems in every room.

Here are some photos of our PA systems in action during this years InfoComm AV education courses and we are looking forward to supporting next years courses at InfoComm 2009.

AN-Mini at Cesar Chavez School
We love to hear it when one of our sound systems is able to contribute in a special event like the Parent Child Event at Cesar Chavez Elementary. “This event provided our students with an opportunity to share quality time with their loved ones.” Fidel Garibay, Parent Child Event Committe Representative.

Anchor supplied the school with 3 AN-Mini sound systems (Red, Yellow and Blue), which provided the voice projection and flexibility the teachers needed to help make the Parent Child Event a huge success.

From everyone here at Anchor, we just want to thank the staff and the kids at Cesar Chavez Elementary for their hard work and continued support of Anchor Audio sound systems. Here are some photos of the AN-Mini in action at Cesar Chavez as well as their wonderful Thank You Letter sent to us just a few days ago.

  • Separate volume control knobs for each of the wireless or wired microphones.

Added Features

  • A Music Speech button has been added to allow the users voice to cut through noisy environments.
  • The Voice Over feature is now accessed through a push button, instead of a turn dial.
  • The new Explorer Pro uses a Neutrik Speakon output which takes advantage of the more durable SC-50NL speaker cable. Mainly used for connecting the Explorer Pro’s companion speaker.
