“We’ve used Anchor Audio in our district for many years. I just wanted to thank you for the update on your website especially the instructional videos. They are easy to follow, detailed, and helpful. If you’re wondering if it was worth all the meetings to talk about them - from my perspective - I’m glad you made them.”

AN-Mini Saves the Day at a Honolulu High School

Anchor Stories No Comments »

For the past couple of months Art Fuginaka of Projection Sound Systems has been traveling the island of Hawaii with an AN-MINI speaker monitor to the schools of Honolulu, demonstrating the versatility of the product. One day he stopped on the campus of Moanalua High School to give a demonstration of the AN-MINI for class room sound reinforcement.

All of a sudden the power goes out in the school cafeteria where a teacher was giving a presentation over their current installed sound system. Art sensing an opportunity to show off the AN-MINI’s quick and easy setup, sprung into action. He grabbed his AN-MINI, placed it on an SS-300 stand, handed the teacher a wireless microphone and the teacher continued on with the school’s announcements to over 100 plus students.

Everyone fell in love with the AN-MINI and for the remainder of the day was spreading the word to the rest of the school district staff on how the AN-MINI saved the day for their morning assembly.

Anchor Audio Stories: September 2008

Anchor Stories No Comments »

Today is the start of a brand new series of monthly posts in which we plan to share new, interesting stories of our sound systems being used.

To kick off this new series we first travel to Union, New Jersey where Kean University is using nine Xtreme Deluxe packages with dual receivers for various events all over campus. The university relies on Anchor Audio dealer Tele-Measurements for many of their audio requirements.

Our next stop is in Scottsdale, Arizona where CCS Presentation Systems sold 160 audio visual carts to the Tolleson Elementary School District. All the carts included an AN-130 speaker monitor to be used with a projector for classroom instruction.

Next we head over to Fort Sam Houston who purchased ten Liberty basic packages with dual receivers from Bradley Broadcast. The Liberty systems quickly became the ideal portable sound solution across the entire compound.

Marvin Clark is an Audio Visual Technician at South Dakota State University where sixty-three Explorer Pro sound systems with wireless microphones are used.

“The Explorer Pro provides a sound reinforcement in lecture halls everyday,” says Mr. Clark. “And, we have Explorer Pros available for campus events and activities.”

The Explorer Pro is truly flexible with AC/DC operation which allows use of an AC power source should the battery supply be exhausted. You can also operate the unit from a 12V DC source such as an automobile power port.

Included are two universal mic input jacks. With the option of two wireless microphones and two input jacks, up to four people can use a microphone during any one presentation.

“The wireless microphones are great for classroom instruction. During a question and answer period, the microphone can be passed between the professor and the students,” states Clark.
